AM I COMMITTED TO THE LORD?

                                                   2 Chronicles 16:7-9

      A.  From this passage we understand that the Lord punished King Asa because he

            relied on the army of Syria and not God.

      B.  The Lord is looking for committed people.  2 Chronicles 16:9a

      II.  Why is it that some people fear making commitments?

            C.  Criticism,  Illustration

            D.  Waiting for the right conditions.

    III.   How do we decide to make commitments?

            A.  Ask God for wisdom, James 1:5-8

            B.  Consider the cost, Luke 14:28-33

            C.  Consider the benefits, Matthew 6:33, Ephesians 1:3.  Make a list
