             questions.

  I.  Can I recommend my religion based on the scriptures?

       A.  Can I turn in the Bible and show the church to which I belong?

             1.  Jesus promised to build His church.  Matthew 16:13-19 (717)

             2.  Jesus is the head of the church (comprised of all the saved).  Ephesians

             3.  God adds the saved to the church.  Acts 2:47b (802)

  II.  Can I recommend my religion by the way I live?

       A.  God teaches us to separate ourselves from the sinful elements of the world and

             live for Him.  2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (855)

       B.  James teaches us what constitutes the religion that God accepts.  James 1:27 (892)

             First aspect: “to visit orphans and widows in their trouble”

             Second aspect: : “to keep oneself unspotted from the world”

       C.  By the way we live we demonstrate what our religion means to us.  Examples:
