FAITH


    Introduction

           A.  The Bible teaches that we are to live by faith.  Habakkuk 2:4 (685); Romans 1:17

           B.  If someone were to ask you, “What is faith?”, how would you respond?

           C.  Let’s study the topic of faith by considering, first, what faith is not.  Then we will
                 consider what faith is.

       I.  What faith is not.

           A.  Faith isn’t just something we claim or say.  James 2:14,18 (892)

           B.  Obeying God because He commands.  Hebrews 11:8

           C.  Trusting in God when we don’t receive an answer.  Hebrews 11:39-40

           D.  Endurance when we don’t feel like it.  Hebrews 11:27

           E.  Demonstrated by action.  James 2:17,20,24,26
