GOD’S NATURE (continued)  

  Introduction

         A.  Review of aspects of God’s nature already studied.  God is a God of power, great love

               and wisdom.

         B.  Let’s focus on four other aspects of God’s nature.

  IV.  God is a God of wrath.  Ephesians 5:1-7

         A.  His wrath is against those who are disobedient.  Hebrews 10:26-31

   V.  God is a Father.  Ephesians 5:20

         A.  He is an accessible Father.  1 Peter 3:12

         B.  He is a good Father.  Matthew 7:7-11

         C.  He is a loving Father.  Ephesians 3:14-19

  VI.  God is a God of grace.  Ephesians 2:7-9

         A.  Definition:  God’s giving us what we don’t deserve.  Romans 6:23

               Example:   Gives us eternal life

VII.  God of mercy.  Ephesians 2:4

         A.  Definition:  God’s withholding from us what we deserve.  Romans 6:23

               Example:  Withholds the punishment of Hell

  Conclusion

          A.  We should love, honor, reverence and worship God because He is deserving.
