GOD’S NATURE

  Introduction

         A.  As Christians we need to know and understand the nature of the God we serve.

         B.  An understanding of God’s nature influences our relationship with Him.

         C.  Let’s focus on three aspects of God’s nature.

     I.  God is a God of ___________.  Ephesians 1:19

         A.  His creative power.  Genesis 1:1-3; Romans 1:20

         B.  His power to raise Christ.  Ephesians 1:19-20

         C.  His power to change spiritual death to spiritual life.  Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans

               1:16-17; Colossians 2:11-13

   II.  God is a God of great __________.  Ephesians 2:4; I John 4:8

         A.  His love for us has been demonstrated through His Son.  Romans 5:8; 1 John

               4:10; John 14:6-9

         B.  His love can’t be completely explained with human language.  Ephesians 3:18-19

  III.  God is a God of _____________.  Ephesians 3:10

         A.  His wisdom is all wise. (omniscient)  Romans 11:33-36

         B.  His wisdom is revealed by the church.  Ephesians 3:9-11
