                                                              Psalm 62:1-6 (451)

    Introduction

          A.  Psalm 62 is attributed to David and he emphasizes that God provides the peace and
                strength to keep His children from being shaken in times of trouble.  Read Psa. 62:1-6
          B.  It might be that you are having an experience that threatens to shake your faith.
          C.  Let’s consider three lessons that teach us dependency on the Lord in times of trouble.

      I.  Everyone needs an _______________ in difficult times.

          A.  In desperation we try to find something or someone that is strong and secure.

          B.  We need to know that we can depend on our Heavenly Father as an anchor.

   III.  Let’s look at three reasons we can depend on God.

          A.  Because of the assurance of our Heavenly Father who desires to answer our prayers.

          B.  Because of the assurance of Jesus, our High Priest, who sits at the right hand of God
                making intercession for us.  Hebrews 7:22-26 (886)

          C.  Because of the assurance of the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us and leads us.

  Conclusion:  There are no difficulties and ____________ in life that can stop God from helping
