IS MY LIFE MAKING A DIFFERENCE?
Judges 3:5-11
Introduction
A. Is my life significant? Is my life making the difference God wants it to make?
B. The people of Israel had difficulty making life matter. Judges 3:5-11
1. They repented of their sins and God sent a man named Othniel who made a
difference.
C. Let’s consider three practical principles that will enable us to make the
difference God desires for us to make.
I. Be faithful in small matters.
A. Othniel had been successful in lesser tasks. Joshua 15:16-17
B. We can learn to make a difference in life by being faithful in lesser tasks. Luke
16:10-12. Illustration
II. Meet a need.
A. The people of Israel needed a leader and Othniel met that need. Judges 3:9
B. When we meet the needs of people, we will have a greater sense of purpose
because we will be doing what God created us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10
III. Depend on God.
A. Othniel depended on God. Judges 3:10
B. God will equip us when He calls us for a task. Philippians 1:6,2:13; Ephesians
3:20-21
