HEAVEN, AN INHERITANCE
                                                                                I Peter 1: 3-5


  Introduction:
       A.  If you have a will or have been the recipient of a will, you know the term inheritance.
            1.  An inheritance is the transference of the property of one who has died to a
                designated person or designated persons.

  I.   The Bible uses the term inheritance to describe Heaven.
       A.  Heaven is our inheritance as a result of God being our Father and our being His
           children.  Romans 8:13-17; Galatians 4:4-7

       B.  As children we must be faithful heirs.  Colossians 3:23-24; I Peter 4:19

      C.  A look more closely at our inheritance in Heaven.. I Peter 1:3-5

            Our inheritance is:

                                        incorruptible  v4

                                         undefiled v4

                                         eternal v4

                                        

         D.  Review

         E.   How do we become heirs (children) of God?  Galatians 3:18, 22-29; emphasis on
               vv 26-27

   Conclusion:
         A.   Let's ask ourselves, "Is Heaven my inheritance?"  Romans 8:13-17; Acts 2 :38 with                  v15
