LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE
                                                         Esther 4:4-16 (403)


  Introduction

       A.  As we begin let’s ask ourselves:  Am I being ______ by God?  Am I making a
             difference in the lives of people?

       B.  In the  O.T. there’s a story about a courageous Jewish lady named Esther who was
             queen of Persia.  She was used by God to save her people.  Esther 4:4-16

  I.  The need

       A.  There was a need for Esther.  Vv7-8

             1.  Haman, an enemy of the Jews, persuaded King Ahasuerus to write a decree for
                  the Jews to be destroyed.  Esther 3:8-10,14

       B.  There are needs for us today.

             1.  To teach the Great Commission.  Matthew 28:18-20 (730)

             2.  To encourage those who have fallen.  Galatians 6:1-2 (862)

             3.  For mature ladies to teach the younger.  Titus 2:3-4 (881)

             4.  To encourage those who do not worship to repent.  Hebrews 10:25

       C.  WHO?  Are you in a position to be used by God?  Esther 4:14

  II.  The decision

       A.  Esther considered and submitted.  Vv11-16

       B.  Who will allow God to use him/her?  Isaiah 6:1-6 (867)

Conclusion

       A.  Our call is to be God’s instrument.

       B.  God has plans for those who will meet the challenge.  Philippians 1:6 (867)

       C.  One of the greatest blessings, it seems to me, for a Christian is to ease into eternity
             knowing that he has been used by God.
