LIVING FOR GOD – PART IV

  Introduction

        A.  Review:  Once we become children of God, we should determine to glorify God

              by the way we live.  We have looked at two ways through which we glorify God:

              worshipping God and seeking to imitate Christ.

        B.  This morning let’s focus on two other ways in which we glorify God.

    I.  We bring glory to God through our fellowship with one another.  1 John 1:7; Col. 3:15

         A.  Our fellowship must be based on truth.  Ephesians 4:1-6; 1 John 1:7

         B.  Our fellowship must be based on unity.  1 Corinthians 1:10-13; Eph. 4:1-6            

         C.  Our fellowship must be based on consideration for one another.  Romans 12:15-16;

               Galatians 6:1-2

         D.  Our fellowship must be based on love for one another.  John 13:34-35; Eph. 4:32              

   II.  We bring glory to God by meeting the needs of people.  Ephesians 2:8-10; Matthew 5:

         16

         A.  We Must consider the needs of people around us.  Philippians 2:1-7

         B.  We must take the necessary steps to meet the needs.  James 2:14-17; Gal. 6:9-10

  Conclusion

         A.  As Christians we have the responsibility to bring glory to God by the way we live. 

               This is a serious matter and we had better be serious about it.
