MAKING COMMITMENTS

    Introduction
        A.  We understand from this passage that God punished King Asa because he relied
              on the army of Syria and not Him.  2 Chronicles 16:7-9

        B.  God is looking for committed people through whom He can show Himself strong.

        C.  As the eyes of the Lord run to and fro among us, does He see people who are loyal
              to Him, etc?

        D.  The aim of our lesson is to encourage us to be committed to God.

   I.  Why is it important to make commitments?

        A.  Our commitments reveal

  II.  Why do some people fear making commitments?

        A.  Past failures.

  III.  How do we decide to make commitments?

        A.  Ask God for wisdom.  James 1:5-8 (891)
