PRAYER IN PUBLIC WORSHIP


   Introduction

       A.  It’s a responsibility and a privilege to lead prayer for the congregation.

       B.  Let’s focus on the responsibilities of the men who lead prayers.


   I.  Must be holy.  1 Timothy 2:8 (876)

       A.  “lifting up holy hands” is a symbol for a clean heart.

       B.  Examples:


  II.  Must have the right relationship with the other members.  1 Timothy 2:8

       A.  Without wrath

       B.  Without doubting or disputing.

       C.  Forgiving.  Matthew 6:14 (707)


III.  Must pray with faith.  Matthew 7:7-11 (707)


IV.  Must be prepared.  Colossians 3:23-25 (871)
