ONE  ANOTHER

  Introduction:
      A.  Our lesson is in response to a question that was put in our 'suggestion box.'
            1.  There are actually three parts.  "SERMON TOPIC: WHO meets the needs of                       the worship
leaders that are to meet the needs of others?  Is it not a two way street?
We keep having sermons on meeting the needs of others.  Who meets our                       needs?"
      B.  This is a good question and gives me direction this morning.

I want us to focus on three principles in response to this question.  This                           morning we will consider the
            first principle.

  I.  We have the responsibility, as members of the church, to meet the needs of one another.
      A.  References:  Galatians 6:2; Ephesians 4:29,32; I Thessalonians 5:11
      B.  According to these verses, who has the responsibility to meet the needs of others?  Everyone.
Who is in need of having their needs met?  Everyone.
      C.  When are we to meet the needs of one another?
            1.  Whenever there is a NEED.  Mt. 25:34-36.  Examples
            2.  Whenever there is an OPPORTUNITY Gal. 6:9-10.  Example
      D.  How can we meet the needs of one another?
            1.  Remind one another of the promises of God.
            2.  Greet one another. Rm. 16:16
            3.  Encourage one another. I Thess. 5:11.
            4. Bear one another's burdens. Gal. 6:2.
            5.  Accept one another. Rm. 14:1.
            6. Comfort one another. I Thess. 5:11
            7.  Admonish one another. Col. 3:16.
            8.  Forgive one another. Eph. 4:32
            9. Teach one another. Col. 3:16.
          10.  Pray for one another. Eph. 6:18.
          11. Submit to one another. Eph. 5:21.
          12. Serve one another. Gal. 5:13
      E.  Who? _____________  When?_______________________________ How?
      F.  The Hospital

  Closing:
      A.  The church has those who are capable of helping and those who need help.
      B.  What we do most of the time is to provide instruction. But what good does it                    do, if those who are capable of helping never help those who need help?
      C.  The enquirer asks, "We keep having sermons on meeting the needs of others.                Who meets our needs?"
We have the responsibility to meet the needs of one another.
