        A.  We are living in an ever-changing world. 

              1.  Some of the beliefs and views that were prevalent several years ago in our society  
                   are no longer important to some people. 

              2.  Our society has produced new norms.

              3.  There is nothing that we can do about an ever-changing world and the uncertainties
                    that exist.  

        B.  But we can place our faith and trust in the promises of God.  2 Peter 3:9 (899)

        C.  Let’s focus on some of the promises of God.

    I.  Jesus has promised us that our Heavenly Father will provide the necessities of life
         for His children.  Matthew 6:24-34 (707)

   II.  We have been promised the remission of sins when we obey God’s plan of salvation. 
         Acts 2:36-41 (802)

  III.  Our Heavenly Father has promised the continual forgiveness of sins.  1 John 1:9,7 (900);
         Romans 8:1-2 (834)

  IV.  God has promised eternal life to His faithful children.  1 Peter 1:3-5 (894)


          A.  As humans we have needs that can’t be met by an ever-changing world, but these
                needs can be met by our benevolent God.
