WARNINGS FOR US

   Introduction

       A.  The Lord had abundantly blessed the Children of Israel.  Ways:

       B.  Although the Israelites had received many wonderful blessings from the Lord, most
             of them sinned and rebelled against Him.

       C.  There is a parallel between the attitudes and practices of the Israelites and some people
             today.

   I.  God has abundantly blessed us.

        A.  Delivered us from the bondage of sin and death.  Romans 3:23, 16-18 (833)

        B.  Given us the privilege of being clothed with Christ in baptism.  Galatians 3:26-27

        C.  Provided us with all spiritual blessings in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3 (863)

        D.  Given us His written word to direct us.  James 1:21-25 (892)

  II.  The response of some people.

        A.  Lust or crave the things of the world. Examples:
              James 4:1-5 (893)

        B.  Idolatry, which is putting things before God.  Examples:
              Matthew 6:33 (707)

        C.  Adultery or sexual immorality.  1 Corinthians 5:1 (843); 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

        D.  Discontent expressed by murmuring, grumbling and complaining.

  III.  What to do if guilty?  Matthew 21:28-31 (721)    REPENT
