GOING HOME

                                                                                        Philippians 3:20-21

  Introduction:

      A.  Paul proclaims to the Philippians that they are not citizens of this world but of                       Heaven.

  I want us to think about our home in Heaven.

  I.  Our home in Heaven is a reality.

      A.  Jesus has promised us a home in Heaven.  John 14:1-3; Revelation 22:1-5

      B.  God has given us the earnest/deposit of our home in Heaven. 

          

            1.  What is that earnest/deposit?  II Corinthians 1:21-22; II Corinthians 5:1-5;                              Ephesians 1:

                 13-14; John 14: 3, 16, 23.

      C.   Jesus has promised to return and take us home to Heaven.  John 14:1-3; I                              Thessalonians 4: 13-18; I Peter 1:3-5.

  Conclusion:

       A.  We are foreigners here.  We are just passing through.

       B.  Our home is in Heaven.  We are going home.
