Luke 12:4-5


  Introduction:
       A.  Hell will be a terrible place separate from the presence of God and the redeemed.
       B.  There will be darkness that is permeated with eternal torment.

  I.  Who will be in hell?
       A.  Hypocrites.  Isaiah 33:14-16, Matthew 23:13-15,23,25,27,33


       B.  The unrighteous.  I Corinthians 6:9-10, Matthew 5:27-28, Revelation 21:8,
             Revelation 20:14-15


       C.  False prophets and teachers. II Peter 2:1-10


       D.  The enemies of the cross of Christ. Philippians 3:18-19


       E.  Those who do not know God, and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.                   II Thess.1:7-9

  II.   How can we escape this terrible, eternal place called hell?
       A.  By obeying the gospel of Christ.  Acts 2:36-39, I Cor. 6:9-11
       B.  As a christian, by confessing and asking forgiveness for any sin that has destroyed                 your relationship with God.  I John 1:9
