WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE CHRIST?

Matthew 22:42

  Introduction:

        A.  We have only one life to prepare for eternity.

             1.  This life is brief and fleeting.  James 4:14

        B.  God loves us to such a degree that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins.  I Peter 2:24-25.

        C.  In Matthew 22:42, Jesus asked a group of Pharisees the question, .............

        D.  I want to ask you, "What do you think about the Christ?

   I.  What do you think about the claims of the Christ?

        A.  Jesus claims:

             1.  to be the Son of God.  Matthew 16:13-17.  Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God?

                  yes or no.

             2.  to be the Savior of the world.  Luke 19:10,  Mat. 1:21.  Do you believe that Jesus is the

                  Savior of the world?  yes or no.

             3.  to be the way, the truth and the life.  John 14:6.  Do you believe this claim?  yes or no.

             4.  to have all authority.  Matthew 28:18, Phil. 2:5-11.  Do you believe Jesus has all authority?

                  yes or no.

  II.  What do you think about the Christ's plan of salvation?

         A.  Jesus instructed His Apostles.  Matt. 28:18-20,  Luke 24:25-49.

         B.  His Apostles follow His instructions.  Acts 2:14,22-24,26-41.47.

         C.  Do you believe Christ's plan of salvation?  yes or no

  Conclusion:

         A.  The question today is,  What do I think about the Christ?  On the Day of Judgment, the

               question will be,? "What does the Christ think about me?"
