                                          Psalm 136:1


  Introduction:
      A.  Thanksgiving is a time for us to say a special 'thank you' to God for His gifts                 to us.
      B.  I'd like for us to note several ways in which we give thanks to God in our                        worship and, then,
           several ways in which we can thank God in our daily lives.

  I.  Worship
      A.  Studying God's word.  II Timothy 2:16-17
            1.  Have right attitude.  illustrate
            2.  Why God teaches us.  illustrate
      B.   Praying to God.  Acts 2:42, Philippians 4:6
      C.   Participating in communion.  I Corinthians 11:23
            1.  Why?

  II.  Daily Lives
       A.  Study God, word.

       D.  Presenting ourselves as a sacrifice to God.  Romans 12:1-2
             1.  What is a sacrifice for us?
             2.  Are there times when we give up what we want to do, to do what God wants us to do?
       E.  Obeying God.  James 1:22
             1.  How does God teach us to treat others?
             2.  What should we do when our parents tell us to do something?
             3.  Should we return bad for bad or good for bad?

  Conclusion:
        A.  There are many ways that we can say 'thank you' to God.  Our God deserves our thanks. Psa.136:1
